My name is Bobby Albert and I’ve spent the last 40+ years of my life, in business, around business, surviving business, and thriving in business. I started out like most leaders, wide-eyed, eager and ready to take on the world.
I discovered that growing a business requires leadership and leadership involves people… and people present challenges! Soon, I felt like I was over my head. Why couldn’t we unite as a team and reach the goals and objectives that I set?
It finally discovered that outward success was an inside job. Paradoxically, the quickest way to outside success is to get the fundamentals right inside the organization. I’m talking about things like identifying your purpose, vision and core values.
When we put first things first, and developed some new approaches to leadership, my own business experienced extraordinary revenue and profit growth. It all came back to people, the very people who frustrated me as a young leader held the key to higher performance and increased job satisfaction!
We invested in people, and they responded with high levels of engagement, improved self-worth, and a willingness to “go the extra mile” for our company when we needed them most.
Our experience and the results were pretty extraordinary. But could this transformation be replicated in other organizations? Absolutely!
In fact, the principles are universal. It’s how we applied them that created a culture where people thrived and profits soared.
